Happy Teachers Using Our Black History Music Bundle

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This has been a resource I have used the last three years that I added to my unit to align with 4th and 5th-grade social studies. Students are engaged and the content shared provides prompts for rich discussions. The emphasis on literacy allows me to continue to teach the melodic motives for this particular grade level.....Very well done!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mrs. M. - Thank you! I really like how you tied in each song with a mini-history lesson on important civil rights leaders! So important for students to understand the meaning and history behind the music.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Catherine K. - This made a great jumping-off point for an Orff unit during Black History Month. I really appreciated the differentiation by grades in the resources. Excellent.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heidi T. - I am loving this resource. I used the MLK highlight with pre-k through 4th graders to teach about Martin Luther King, Jr., the civil rights movement, and the song "Oh Freedom".... The primary vs. intermediate slides were very well done. I was able to pick and choose slides depending on the time I had with classes. Thank you for this fantastic resource.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mary C. - This has the right amount of information. It is easy enough that if you want to just use the history you can listen to the song and move on. Or, you can spend more time really learning the songs. They are easy enough to perform at the end of the month, but challenging enough to keep the students engaged.
