Black History Month Project Celebrate Your Differences Excel Computer

Welcome to my Celebrating Your Differences Excel Project. I thought this was a perfect project to do for Black History month. Students do research on themselves!! How fun is that? They write down on a provided research sheet some of their vital statistics, one of which is their heritage. The students share their research sheets with each other to record on their Excel spreadsheets until each students has all their classmate's information. Once the spreadsheets are done, students will learn how to manipulate the information to make it into a more user-friendly format.
Skills included in this unit are cells, cell addresses, rows, columns, sorting, filtering, merge and center and borders. Included in this curriculum are step by step, easy to follow lesson plans, no previous computer experience required, a sample of the finished project, research sheet and parent letter.
I hope you will consider purchasing this curriculum. It fits in really nicely with Black History month. My students really enjoyed doing this project. They were surprised to learn how much they had in common with each other. This was a great project from the computer skills standpoint as well as Black History Month. Happy Researching.
