Listed below is more information on each film. Each film is also available for individual sale if you would rather purchase just one film. I have linked in the individual pages with their title.

Remember the Titans follows the 1971 story of a football team during its first year of being integrated. The team is led by a new African American coach who must overcome racism and backlash from his town. This film would be great for U.S. History, Black History Month, a unit on the Civil Rights Movement, End of the Year, last minute sub plans, or a Sports History class! The film stars Denzel Washington, Will Patton, Ryan Gosling, Donald Faison, Wood Harris, Ryan Hurst, Craig Kirkwood, Hayden Panettiere, Ethan Suplee, and Kate Bosworth.

Marshall is the 2017 film that follows the early career of Thurgood Marshall. The case that is followed in the film is the trial of Joseph Spell, and it is one of the many defining cases in Marshall's career. He would go on to argue and win Brown v. Board of Education and would become the first African American Supreme Court Justice. The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Sterling K. Brown, Josh Gad, Kate Hudson, Dan Stevens, and James Cromwell. My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer guide has been provided for your convenience. The movie runtime is 118 minutes and it is rated PG-13 for mature thematic content, sexuality, violence and some strong language.

Mudbound, is based off of Hillary Jordan's book by the same name. The story focuses on two families from different backgrounds that are connected by a farm in Mississippi. The story looks closely at a friendship that forms between two World War II veterans as they also deal with racism and forming a new life after the war. Ronsel, who is African American, experienced freedom and a different way of life when he was overseas during the war. Jamie, a bomber pilot, suffered huge losses while at war. Both are struggling in their new life after war once they return to Mississippi. The film stars Jason Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Mary J. Blige, Carey Mulligan, Jason Clarke, and Rob Morgan. My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The film's runtime is 134 minutes.

FILM RATING- The film is rated Rated R for some disturbing violence, brief language and nudity. There are no film questions during the scene with brief nudity so it would be easy to skip over that part of the film.

Race, is the 2016 film about Jesse Owens and the struggles he faced on and off the track as he made his way to the 1936 Olympics. His victories in the 1936 disproved Hitler's Aryan race beliefs and catapulted Owens into the history books with his four gold medals. This film stars Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, Eli Goree, Jeremy Irons, and William Hurt. My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The film is 134 minutes in length and is rated PG-13 for thematic elements and language.

By purchasing this item, you agree to use it for your individual classroom use only and will not post online or share with others. Additional licenses are available for a reduced price.
