The 2016 film, Hidden Figures, follows the story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson. Their work at NASA not only paved the way for African American women, but all women, when it came to work in mathematics, engineering, and the space program. The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Mahershala Ali, Kevin Costner, and Jim Parsons.
My movie guide contains 45 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The film is 127 minutes in length and is rated PG for thematic elements and some language.
George Lucas' film, Red Tails, is an action packed look at the heroic efforts of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. These men were a part of the 332nd Fighter Group and fought with bravery for a country that still discriminated against them.
The film has an all-star cast consisting of Nate Parker, Michael B. Jordan, David Oyelowo, Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ne-Yo, Bryan Cranston, and more. The film is 125 minutes in length and is rated PG-13 for some sequences of war violence.
