    Activity Duration:

This activity will last about 5 - 6 hours depending on variables such as student background knowledge, depth of research, and the way teachers choose to conduct the one-pager mini-presentations and found poems.

Sample pacing from my own class:

    - 1 hour: research and complete the webquest activity

    - 1 hour: organize, plan, and complete the one pager activity

    - 30 minutes - 1 hour: present the one pagers (depending on class size, student interest, and impromptu discussion). I often end with a written reflection of our "takeaways" from the discussion at the end.

    - 1 hour: read/listen to and annotate the speech

    - 1 hour: complete an analysis graphic organizer (SOAPSTone, devices, and/or appeals)

    - 30 minutes - 1 hour: Wrap up/debrief with a found poem, written reflection, and/or guided discussion (prompts included).
