It includes 16 mini reading passages about prominent figures who blazed a trial in America. The Boom Cards are full-color and is fully interactive with point and click and DRAG and DROP features PLUS it offers multiple comprehension questions to challenge your students and encourage expressive language. This comprehensive unit is an engaging way to address comprehension, vocabulary, use of context clues, use of text evidence, and MORE!

This lesson includes a great overview of a total of sixteen historical figures from past to present who made phenomenal contributions to Black History and American History. This lesson includes two Four in a Row game boards to allow students to demonstrate comprehension by reviewing the historical figures and the target vocabulary words. You will be able to engage your students by having them answer trivia style questions at the end for continued reinforcement. It includes printable (or digital) worksheets to help students identify key details as they read through each of the passages.

This lesson can be played on Smartboards for whole group instruction, computers, tablets/iPads for small group and 1:1 individual learning, and speech teletherapy, telepractice (via Site/Screen Share) platforms for interactive remote sessions. It is full color and intended for digital use.
