Description

This biography report, research project and lapbook includes graphic organizers for notetaking during the research phase and interactive components to present informational writing. A rubric is included for evaluating the final product. It is appropriate with students in third to sixth grades.

It is designed to be used with any famous person the student chooses. This could work well for a screen free extended school closure / distance learning. Be sure to send home a biography book with the child or have access to one online.

The project includes:

  • instructions
  • four note-taking pages
  • four summary report pages/ two styles
  • bibliography form
  • interactive timeline
  • interactive letter writing
  • interactive questions to ask, character traits, achievements, and bright ideas
  • famous quotes
  • sample photos
  • about the author (great for early finishers)
  • scoring rubric
