This was a lot of fun! The story is really cute and there's so much you can do to spring from the book. I also enjoyed the cute little chant/steady beat/melody to say with my students. I looked the book up on YouTube and found a great read-along.

Perfect for teachers honoring Hispanic Heritage Month or studying the music of Mexico, this activity includes everything you need to teach a fun lesson using J.D. Smith's beloved children's book "The Best Mariachi Band in the World."
Teach students a short song using ta/ti-ti and sol-mi, then transfer to Orff instruments to add another layer to the book.
