This lesson plan assists students in learning "what to do" and "what not to do" in order to be a good friend, to respect each other, what good choices and bad choices are, learning positive friendship skills. 4 activities, coloring page, clip art, printables, answer key. no prep needed.

CDC HEALTH STANDARD FOUR: Students will demonstrate the ability to use interpersonal communication skills to enhance health and avoid or reduce health risks
Learning outcome:
Students will be able to list what "good friends do"
Students will be able to identify what "good friends should NOT do"
Students will be able to understand the importance of being a friend to yourself
Students will be able to determine the significance of respecting each other
Students will be able to identify "positive friendship skills"
Students will be able to list what makes a good friend
Students will learn that there are different aspects of ourselves that can make a good friend
Activity of identifying what " Good friend choices are" and what " Bad friend choices are."
Activity of student completing the sentence: "I am a good friend because;" as well as drawing a picture of themselves
Activity of what makes the students a good friend; eyes, mouth, heart, hands, ears, or memory
