Description

Do you need to collect data on the frequency of a behavior? Tracking the frequency of behavior is an important step for establishing baselines of behavior, creating behavior goals and/or behavior intervention plans, and for monitoring progress on behavior!

Frequency recording is easy (simply mark a tally for each time the specific target behavior occurs within a given period of time)! However, with so much paperwork involved in special education, it can be daunting to stay organized.

Get your data organized with these free printable data collection sheets! Professional, easy to use, and these sheets can be used year after year.

TIPS/SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:

•Use these data collection sheets to establish baselines for behavior goals and behavior plans, as well as for tracking progress!

•Be specific about the behavior that you are tracking. What is the child doing specifically? Avoid using vague terms like aggression.

•There are two versions of the daily and weekly data collection sheets. One version has prefilled 30 minute time intervals, and the other version has blank time intervals so that you can customize the form to best fit your observations.

•It is best to limit the number of behaviors that you are targeting.

•Tracking during class periods is useful if you are self-contained, or if staff is available to collect data while students are in other classes. These can be helpful to find patterns related to time of day, setting, etc.
