What educators are saying

Great resource Highly recommended A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Material for education.

Description

An important technology skill students must learn is touch typing. This packet includes 20 touch typing lessons for students to complete using a computer (or tablet with an attached keyboard). There is also a slide show presentation, introduction, handouts, and quiz.

All assignments have an example keyboard picture for reference and clear instructions. Errors are easily identified by text alignment. Copy and pasting text will show up as a different color (.doc only) which will aid in keeping students honest. Depending on the need, the skill of saving documents onto a different media can easily be integrated into the lessons.

Teachers may start with the slide show presentation and handouts to show the class or use them as references for students and for lectures prior to the assignments.

This resource was created for the following reasons:

  • To supplement an existing keyboarding curriculum
  • Prevent students from being distracted by ads
  • Classrooms that have inconsistent internet
  • Instructors wanting a simple, effective keyboarding curriculum that requires no student logins.

Enjoy!
