What educators are saying

This Beach Day resource went along perfectly with our "Beach Day" themed celebration at school. The students enjoyed all of the activities.
Great resource for our beach day end of the year activity. There were a lot of concepts we were able to review.

Description

Let's be honest - the last few days of school are HECTIC! At that point in the year, it's crowd control. I had a lot of things I needed to get finished but I also needed to keep my friends busy! So I created this end of the year pack for us to have FUN on the last few days of school! This Beach Party pack contains 10 stations for your friends to visit. It includes:
*a newsletter for parents to know the date of the event and asking for trail mix donations
*a "have you ever been to the beach" and "would you rather go to the beach or pool" data collection (to start the day)
*a coloring page to be glued on the front of a pouch that holds all the goodies from the day
*a station checklist (to help your friends keep track)
*station signs with directions
*pictures of the crafts and how to put them together
*writing responses for most of the activities
I've also included a page for the materials needed for your day!

The Stations are:
Station 1 - Over in the Ocean (students create an octopus and write an informational piece about animals they would find in the ocean)
Station 2 - What's in my beach bag? (students create a mini beach bag and write a list of things they need to take to the beach)
Station 3 - Beach Bucket (students make a tiny beach bucket out of a styrofoam cup and use it for Station 4)
Station 4 - Beach Snack (students take their beach bucket from Station 3 and load up on snack)
Station 5 - Write the Room (students hunt the room for the hidden message)
Station 6 - Read on the Beach (students take their beach towel and relax and read at "the beach")
Station 7 - Feelin' Crabby (students create handprint crabs and write about whether they would rather be an octopus or crab and why)
Station 8 - Luau Necklace (students make a lei to use at Station 9)
Station 9 - Let's Luau (students take their lei from Station 8 and "luau" at Station 9)
Station 10 - Seashells by the Seashore (students create their own special seashell from modeling clay and give it a special name)

Make it fun...While keeping it educational!
