We did two lessons together as a class and I also had seven printable worksheets that we completed during the other parts of our day to make the most of our “Beach Transformation".

Lesson Activity #1: Design a Sandcastle

• Students must design their own sandcastle using 2D shapes. Then there are two writing options where students must write about "how to" build a sandcastle using the names of the 2D shapes that they used.

Lesson Activity #2: Make a Map

• Students will make a map of an "Island of Lost Treasure". Students can draw cards or use the landmark cards/posters just for reference. After designing their Island of Lost Treasure, students will write an adventure story about all the steps they took to find their treasure.
