This creative and engaging package includes the following:

⭐”Bats: Fact or Fiction” Informational Text and Close Reading Annotation Activity: an original full text article is included in two different versions - with and without built in annotation activity.

⭐Bat Comprehension Pennant Project: Students use the included templates to make giant comprehension posters. Detailed questions, answer keys, and full instructions are included. Completed pennants make great hallway bulletin board displays!

⭐Bat Summary Activity: Students read the full page of informational text about bats, and then complete a summarizing activity relating to it.

⭐”Bats” by Randall Jarrell –Poem and Analysis Activity: Students read the included poem, and complete a creative handout relating to poem analysis.

⭐Creative Writing Activity: A graphic organizer, brainstorming sheet, and good copy page are included for this fun creative writing activity, where students use the information they have learned throughout the mini unit to complete a diary entry from a bat’s perspective.

⭐Digital EASEL Activity: A digital EASEL version of this activity has been included. Teacher pages have been removed and text boxes have been added so it is easy to use online with your learners. Activities that require an artist element, such as the annotation page and pennant project, have been removed as they do not translate well to a digital format.
