Description

These basic math assessments are a set of math screeners focusing on basic math operations and calculations, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, place value, integers, and algebraic understanding. Each screener is one page with 15 questions. You can choose to give one page at a time or several at once, depending on your students' needs. These would make a great back to school activity to assess each child's level of math functioning in a quick and easy way.

Easy to Assess and Score
Each assessment also includes an answer key page that provides correct answers and identifies the specific skill targeted for each question. This makes this set of screeners a great tool for providing math intervention, support, and specialized instruction. Regular education teachers, special education teachers, and math tutors could benefit from using these screeners with their students. These can also be used at a variety of age/grade levels, as weaknesses in basic math operations can negatively impact progress in the math classroom. Use these screeners to identify which students need extra support.
