Looking for last-minute sub plans? Want something to keep your students engaged and excited to learn music? Check out our BandLab lessons. Perfect for a general music class, switching up your day-to-day ensemble class, or sub plans that any sub can teach.

For use with Edu.BandLab AND normal BandLab

This bundle comes with 8 total BandLab lessons of progressing difficulty and complexity. Each lesson comes with a multiple-page Google Doc to share with your students. The documents contain easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions with images. The lessons also come with a Google Form to submit assignments.

Lesson Overview - Lessons Series 1 - Three Simple BandLab Lessons

1. Students will learn how to use the BandLab digital audio workstation to arrange pre-recorded loops to create music.
2. Students will get more creative with BandLab compositions by allowing the choice of loops.
3. Students will explore simple musical form through BandLab.

Lesson Overview - Lessons Series 2 - Exploring ABA Form with BandLab

1. Students will learn how to create a simple ABA form 48 measure composition using BandLab Loops
2. Students will create a longer ABA form 96 measure composition using BandLab Loops

Lesson Overview - Lessons Series 3 - Exploring Melody Form with BandLab

1. Students will create a 72 measure ABA form composition using AABA melodic phrase structure
2. Students will create a 69 measure ABA form composition using ABAC melodic phrase structure
3. Students will create a 72 measure ABA form composition using AABA melodic phrase structures in the A sections and ABAC in the B section.
