Band Instrument Fitting Genie

This Google spreadsheet is designed to keep track of your beginning band students as you go through the process of doing instrument testing/fittings with them. This can be used either during the Summer months before your upcoming school year, or at the beginning of the school year. Whenever you are planning to do your instrument testing/fittings, this helps you track students' strengths & weaknesses. It also helps you track how much of each band instrument you are fitting for your program!

1. Simply paste in your student names in alphabetical order, and in order by your class periods in the first two columns on the master sheet.
2. Open the second tab on the bottom for the "balanced instrumentation" tab. In the pink box, enter the total number of beginners in your program.
3. Look at the percentages in the blue column on the "balanced instrumentation" tab and decide what percentage of each instrument is your goal for your program.
4. Peruse the different indicators for each instruments' tab and decide if you desire to edit any of the column headers for different skills you would be listening or looking for.
