Description
I love using the balanced literacy approach during my literacy block. This 49 page bug unit has five days worth of literacy work. It makes a really fun unit! Each of the days focuses on a different bug/insect including: bees, ladybugs, worms, spiders, and caterpillars
Each of the 5 lessons in this unit includes:
-a read aloud idea
-discussion questions and answers that go along with the read-aloud
-a poem to use for shared reading
-sample community writing idea
-three independent student worksheets for each day including a writing activity, a non-fiction bug passage with questions and answer keys, and a word work activity
-some additional read-aloud titles
