Description
These little word of the day books have real photos that are great for your ELL students. There are questions in the back of the books to check comprehension. The words in the books can also be sung to simple tunes and the students have their own black and white version to practice. We wrote these books to reinforce the vocabulary words in our September Daily Concept Builders™ Calendar.
It is also great for Distance Learning because we have included a guide on what to do with these books. You can help parents teach about science and social studies in these simple readers as well as practice reading, learn vocabulary and do phonics all with this one resource!

Book 1- all about READING and includes words like letter, reading, words, word family, blends
Book 2 -all about MATH and includes words like numbers, math, addition, subtraction, shapes
Book 3 - all about BEHAVIOR and includes words like quality, citizen, team, share, responsible
Book 4- all about WEATHER and includes words like rainy, sunny, precipitation, cloudy, weather
All 4 September Word of the Day books will come in color for the teacher to read out loud as you focus on the word of the day. I like to make it into a big book and sing the song as I show the pages of the book and discuss the word of the day. There are also copies of the lyrics on one page that I like to make into a poster so we can highlight the calendar word of the day words. We also included black and white copies for the students to highlight their own words. These books are great for their book baskets! There is a teacher guide with ideas for how to use these books, and they are familiar piggy back songs.
