BUNDLE Spanish Pop Songs for Grammar Review Preterite-Imperfect, Subjunctive

hope your students enjoy these lessons which reinforces:

• Affirmative tú commands in Spanish through the song “Madre tierra” by Chayanne. (This song is very upbeat and catchy and the students really liked it.)
• The Spanish Subjunctive with verbs of influence with the song "A Dios le pido" by Juanes (Another catchy, repetitive song that students leave my class singing.)
• The use of Spanish Preterite vs. Imperfect in "Día y noche pienso en ella" by Jerry Rivera. Designed for practice identifying the actions vs. the settings. (Great salsa song that my students have enjoyed for many years- especially the words he yells out- ¡Cógelo! ¡Sabroso!)
• Review the Spanish Present Indicative and Present Perfect tenses with Ricky Martin's "Te extraño, te olvido, te amo" (A sad ballad that goes slow enough for lower levels to understand and follow.)

Each lesson contains instructions on how to use the lessons, a Cloze activity, an answer key, a link to a video (where available) but all songs can be found on You Tube without the actual video to just play the song. "Madre tierra" contains a bonus activity article with questions.

These lessons can be used over two days or one day with homework assigned. You could also post the video link on your Google classroom page or the kids to do on their own and provide them with the answer key in class.
