New to our Mad Gabs? Here's what you need to know:

• Use this game to target working on carryover of articulation skills, decoding words, listening for meaning, or JUST FOR FUN!
• Each of the cards contains a puzzle using non-sense/decodable words. Students are encouraged to read aloud the small words and then put the words together, while listening for the meaning, to identify the phrase. For example, in the Community Helpers pack, "Uf I Herm Han" when pronounced quickly sounds like "A Fireman."
• The back of each card contains a hint with which you may choose to provide your kiddo, as well as the answer to the puzzle.
• Print pages front and back, laminate for durability, cut out, and start playing.
• Each set has easier and more difficult puzzles that are identified by a themed-object. (Ex: helmet for easier and badge for more difficult on the Community Helpers puzzles)
• Cards can be used with individual students to see how many they can get in a certain amount of time (i.e., one minute), or split students into teams, with each team having the chance to solve a puzzle in alternating fashion, to add a little healthy competition. If one team cannot solve the puzzle in the given amount of time, the other team gets a chance to "steal" the puzzle. Whichever team can solve the most puzzles WINS!
