Description

As teachers we all know that the BOSSY r can be a difficult concept for some students. No one resource will suit all levels of ability in a diverse class. That's why I have a range of hands-on resources, differentiated for maximum learning to occur.

Theses 8 games will provide fun and consolidation for all ability levels and the posters I have included will support slower learners. The target phonic elements are in red for phonemic skill development that some students still need at this level. The games are graduated in difficulty. Skill development is incremental and cumulative. All ability levels will benefit simultaneously as you differentiate.

The words used are:

Game 1 Bossy r "er" sound (mixed ear/er/ir/or/ur one syllable): burn, turn, fern, curl, learn, surf, hurt, burp, bird, dirt, girl, perk, stir, work, worm, spur, earn, herb, blur, herd, fir, germ, her, word, fur
