What educators are saying

These sheets are great! They are so easy to use! I like how they are sectioned into different parts as well.
YESSS! This is exactly what I was looking for but even better. The options of presentation/implementation are well thought out and offer variety based on student level.

    Description

NOW INCLUDING CUPS AND COPS versions PLUS FREEBIES!! You get the 3 Part Drill answer sheets for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level students to record their answers on during dictation/encoding. NOW WITH EDITABLE HEADINGS, CUPS AND COPS versions. That way you can change the headings if you call the sections something other than what I do. I also included a Daily Lesson Plan Checklist/Planner & 2 digital answer key presentations that correspond with beg. and int. PDFs in this bundle! This is a fantastic resource for the encoding portion of an Orton Gillingham lesson.

What is the Auditory Drill (written, spelling etc.) portion of an OG lesson?

    1. "Sounds" section is for the auditory drill.

    Teacher: Say /b/

    Student: /b/

    Teacher: whats says /b/

    Student: b says /b/

    2. "SOS" section is for segmenting/spell/write portion.

    Teacher: "milk"

    Student: milk

    Teacher and students (while finger tapping): /m/ /i/ /l/ /k/ m i l k

Then student writes the word on their paper. They say the letter name as they write the letter, essentially spelling it orally twice.

    3. And the "Sentence Dictation" is pretty self explanatory. I tell them a sentence, they repeat it normally with me. Then we repeat it but pound a fist in our palm for every word we say (two times) then they write the sentence and check it with the COPS editing tool.

"Orton-Gillingham is a widely recognized science of reading method that maintains the focus on multi-sensory techniques that combine the teaching of both reading and spelling simultaneously." -Hill Learning Center

I sell fun and engaging digital visual phoneme drill decks, digital blending boards (NO prep, words are already created), Full OG Lessons, and MUCH more in my TpT store, Phun with Phonics.
