Description

This resource includes a "user guide" for use by both teachers and/or students. As well as a link to the example maze game used in the demonstrations. It also includes 4 video lessons demonstrating how to code a maze game step-by-step. This can be either for student or teacher use, so students can independently access the learning and progress at their own rate. It also includes a link to an SEESAW activity which provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate written components of the content descriptors within the Digital Technologies curriculum.

This is a basic BEGINNERS GUIDE to coding a maze game using SCRATCH. It aligns with the ACARA Digital Technology unit for Year 5/6. It includes a Model Response, and a basic beginners guide to using Scratch to create a maze game. It covers basic block coding tasks, using instructions and pictures to help guide you through how to code a basic maze game. Tasks covered include: moving player sprite throughout maze using keyboard arrows, coding your sprite not to move through maze walls, adding an end goal sprite, adding moving enemies into the maze, adding reward sprites and a scoring system for collecting the rewards.
