Materials
Unit 1
Business Fundamentals
In this unit, students will explore the impact of businesses on the communities. They will learn about types of economies and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.  Students will also develop an understanding of the business cycle and its four phases.
Unit 2
Functions of a Business
This unit investigates the factors involved in production and explains the steps in the production process. Students will learn about marketing and compare the advantages and disadvantages of the major types of advertising. Business success and factors affecting it will be explored and students will learn about types of competition.Â
Unit 3
Entrepreneurship
In this unit, students will learn about Entrepreneurs and identify their skills and characteristics. They will also learn about entrepreneurial opportunities and how an entrepreneur can start a new business. Students will apply their knowledge to come up with ways to set their businesses apart from others.
Unit 4
Finance
In this unit, students learn about budgeting and will apply their knowledge to create a personal budget. They will learn about types of investments and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of investing. They will also learn about stock and mutual funds and their differences.
