GOAL BOOKLET:
>>> A must have product to help your students learn goal setting & to achieve improved results during your fitness testing unit!
FITNESS TESTING… Love it or hate it, it’s a unit that most Physical Educators are required to complete twice annually. How can we make it more fun and applicable to real life for our students? How can we make it feel more purposeful/enjoyable for ourselves as educators?
During or after your 1st round of testing, have students record their results in this FITNESS TESTING GOALS BOOKLET. It is helpful when students can see their scores on 1 page, and aspire to improve on them for the following testing session. Discuss appropriate goal setting, and why it is important for a life time of excellent physical health.
NOTE: I put spacific “goal guidelines” on my white board to help my students create their own goals.
EXAMPLES OF GOAL GUIDELINES…
PUSH-UPS: add 2-3 to current score
CURL-UPS: add 2-3 to current score
PACER: add 2-3 to current score
MILE RUN: (see below - based on their original score/time)
9:00 or below… minus 10 sec
9:01 to 11:00… minus 15 sec
11:01 & higher… minus 20 sec
Once they choose their ONE “focus goal”, I provide them a take-home fitness calendar for that specific focus area to start their journey of improvement. Find the pre-made fitness calendars on my product page! (Includes 1 blank copy for editing purposes.)
This entire booklet typically takes 1-2 class periods to complete. Teacher keeps the booklets safe, then brings them back out before fitness testing round 2. My students enjoy showing their parent the progress they have made, which also helps with parent buy-in & visibility for your program
NOTE: The kids love to color the outside of the booklet to personalize it!

CALENDARS:
This product was created as a take home printable to use after filling out the fitness testing goals booklet, but you are welcome to use it as you please! Giving students a pre-made, paper-copy visual to hang on their refrigerator/nightstand, will act as a constant reminder to strive for personal improvement.
