Artist Habits of Mind Studio Posters Art Graphic Design Class Classroom decor
- Zip
Description
These posters display the 8 artist habits of mind that I created for my art and graphic design classrooms. Each poster shows the name of the habit, the definition, and a photographic visual. Every poster is 300 DPI (dots per inch) and high resolution. All of these poster designs were designed by me and they make wonderful classroom decor! The artist or studio habits of mind posters were developed by Lois Hetland and her team of researchers for Harvard's Project Zero. Out of this research, the following terms were identified as the artist habits of mind:
- Develop Craft
- Engage & Persist
- Envision
- Express
- Observe
- Reflect
- Stretch & Explore
- Understand Community
These identified artist habits of mind have become best practices in art education or any classroom with project-based learning. The bright colors and visuals work for any grade level and can be referred back to during lessons and classroom studio time.
