Description

In my district teachers are required to have 2 grades per week, as a Culture Core teacher that is hard, more specifically when students are in midst of a project. Last year I came up with the solution of adding Progress Checks. I typically do TWO progress checks per project. This works great during any project type. I use the large table I created and walk around the room, jot down each student's name and grade them based on what I see (they are warned when the check is and what is required for full points.) During drawing projects, I call students up to my desk so they get a little more 1 on 1 time... takes a few class periods, but it makes the projects better in the long run. I recently created the last two documents as something I want to use this new year. Students will get to self-check their own progress for a grade with their, "How am I doing" sheets before I give them their progress check grade. AND I created a, "How did I do" to grade themselves at the end of the project. Both self-check sheets contain a bit of reflection room. AND because I have several ELL learners at one time, most of my documents come with Google translated copies. I don't promise these are perfect or correct, but my students seem to use them just fine. *all are editable, as I'm not an English/Grammar pro.
