Description
This is a fun activity that I created to introduce students to Arithmetic Sequences. It is four pages long, and took my Algebra One students about 30-45 minutes to complete.
First two pages: The students are given a sequence in the form of pictures. They have to draw the next TWO pictures in the sequence.
Third Page: The top of this page has a cute cartoon that a student drew for me that has sequence humor. Then there is a table. In the table, the students have to recognize what is being added to each term in the given sequence, and then find the next two terms.
Fourth page: The students are given a sequence in the form of a table. They have to find the common difference, and fill in the missing terms. The difficulty here is jumped because on the middle table they are not given two terms next to each other. They then have to graph the data in their table, and describe what patterns they see among the three graphs.
