These graphic organizer journals of Aristotle, Linnaeus, Whittaker and Woese can be adapted for many different uses by teachers; creative writing journal entries, Scientific Method summaries, direct correlation to a textbook or biographical research. They can specifically be correlated to The Classification System of Living Organisms.
Student Instructions: For the scientist include the following: His or her main idea in the thought bubble and supporting ideas that the scientist would have thought about to arrive at the main idea. On the scroll include a journal entry he or she may have written, a summary of his or her life, or a summary of his or her experiment(s).
Teachers:
This can be used as a long-term project with other scientist journals available at 102 Scientist Graphic Organizer Journals, as group work, research project, etc. This template could even be used with the steps of the Scientific Method on a scientist’s experiment.
