Description
This graphic organizer was created to assist students in the completion of an argumentative essay. These essays are the new component of the Common Core English Regents Examination, and most students are unfamiliar with the format (as we have been Critical-Lensing them to death!).
This organizer maps out a 6-paragraph essay: Introduction, 3 body paragraphs with reasons and evidence, a counter-claim/rebuttal paragraph, and a conclusion. There are also small boxes for students to brainstorm transition words or phrases.
