What educators are saying

This was sooooo much fun!! My students LOVED it and it was an excellent activity to do right before the break when everyone is ready for a break.

Description

Have your students apply problem solving skills during the holidays with this math activity! Use gridded wrapping paper for students to measure the area and perimeter. Students can write their responses on the included recording sheet.

Use this many different ways!

  • Scoot: Place the wrapping paper around the classroom and have students "scoot" around the room to record their responses
  • Differentiated: Change the difficulty of this activity with the size of the wrapping paper
  • Math Station/Game: Place wrapping paper in a bin with student recording sheets
  • Challenge: Use wrapping paper without grids and have students determine the area and perimeter using a ruler
