Description
Introduce your students to Arabic numbers! The Base 10 number system we use is of Arabic origin. The Roman Numerals system previously in use, has no place value so cannot be used for adding and subtracting large numbers. Horray for the Arabs!
The numbers look different and are still in use in the Middle East today.
