April Fool’s Day Activity! April Fool's Fashionistas: Payless Palessi Experiment
Objective: Students will gain an understanding of the role that branding and marketing play in consumer behavior and the ethical considerations involved in marketing strategies.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to analyze the Palessi experiment and identify the marketing tactics used by Payless to create the illusion of luxury.
- Students will be able to apply their understanding of branding and marketing to design a creative and effective marketing stunt for a different product or store.
- Students will be able to evaluate the ethical considerations involved in their marketing strategy, considering the potential impact on consumers and stakeholders.
- An answer key is provided.
