Description
Apple Tree ABC Activities teaches and reinforces letter naming and identification, alphabet letter sequence and letter formation.
Apple Tree ABC activities can be used as whole group literacy instruction, small group work or independent activity.
Match game-Copy capital letter cards onto cardstock. Cut-apart. Student names a letter, matches it to the letter on the tree and colors it. Students play individually or as a small group.
Group lotto game #1 -Copy letter cards onto cardstock. First player draws a letter card. Names it, shows it to the other players and they all find it on their apple tree. All students place a manipulative on that letter. Second player picks the next letter card and continues until game board is filled.
Individual or group lotto game #2- Student picks a letter card, names it, finds it on his apple tree game board and either colors it with crayons, markers, bingo markers or paints it with watercolors.
ABC Order– Student cuts out ABC cards, mixes them up and puts them in ABC order.
Fill in the missing ABC or abc.
Activities can also be used for assessment purposes.
