Directions for Use:

  • Read and teach finger play, using the finger, hand and body actions.
  • Print and use the written finger play as a poster.
  • Children can illustrate the finger play or rhyme in the space left, or on the other side of the paper.
  • Print the cut-out character pages on heavy card (110 lb card stock) for best use. Laminate if you wish. Regular computer paper can be used of course, but it is harder for the children to handle successfully.
  • Children can cut and paste scenes on construction paper, or they can be used as manipulatives while saying the rhyme.
  • To use on a flannel board, attach a piece of hook tape or felt on to the back of each cut piece. To use on a magnetic board, glue a small piece of sheet magnet on the back of each piece.
  • The finger plays, and the illustrations, can co-ordinate with many themes and study units.
