    Description

This bundle includes four resources: Quadrilaterals Word Wall, Interior and Exterior Angles of Polygons Guided Notes and Practice, the Types of Quadrilaterals and Properties guided notes, and the Types of Quadrilaterals and Properties worksheet (details of each below). Also included in each zip folder for guided notes is an mp4 video file recording of the lesson. This is a zoom recording of my screen as I teach through the lesson notes. All audio and worked out examples are included within the video. This would be a great resource for an online class, a flipped classroom, while you have a sub, or just as a re-teaching resource for students to use.

Quadrilaterals Word Wall: word wall with pictures and congruence markings for a geometry quadrilaterals unit. Goes along with chapter 6 of McGraw Hill textbook. Great resource to help all students, but especially for EL, students with extra differentiation needs, etc. Vocabulary includes: diagonals, parallelogram, interior angles, exterior angles, square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, isosceles trapezoid, and kite.

The Interior and Exterior Angles of Polygons guided notes with examples works great introduction to the quadrilaterals unit or as a standalone lesson. The notes start with an investigation on interior and exterior angles of polygons and then move into notes with key vocabulary, formulas, and practice. These notes were made for a high school geometry level course, but could be used in an honors middle school level course. The scaffolded notes provide an extra opportunity to keep students engaged and provide them with valuable connections between different concepts in Geometry. Key vocabulary (such as interior and exterior angles and regular polygons) and examples of are included in the two pages of notes, followed by two pages of practice problems. The notes also come with two answer keys for the notes and practice (one with just the notes part that can be projected for teaching use and the other with notes and examples filled in).

The Types of Quadrilaterals and Properties guided notes with examples summarizes all of the properties of the different types of quadrilaterals. Made to be used as doodle notes (if desired), the notes are set up as a flow-chart to show the relationships between properties of different types of quadrilaterals. Key vocabulary, properties, and examples are included. These notes were made for a high school geometry level course, but could be used in an honors middle school level course. The scaffolded notes provide an extra opportunity to keep students engaged and provide them with valuable connections between different concepts in Geometry. Key vocabulary and examples of are included in the two pages of notes. The notes also come with a full answer key (including labelled diagrams).

The Types of Quadrilaterals and Properties Worksheet includes examples from each of the different types of quadrilaterals. These pair well with my Types of Quadrilaterals and Properties Guided Notes. This worksheet was made for a high school geometry level course, but could be used in an honors middle school level course. The example problems included in the worksheet range from easy to challenging. The worksheet also comes with a full answer key (including work).

    Prove theorems about parallelograms.
Use coordinates to prove simple geometric theorems algebraically. For example, prove or disprove that a figure defined by four given points in the coordinate plane is a rectangle; prove or disprove that the point (1, √3) lies on the circle centered at the origin and containing the point (0, 2).
Apply geometric methods to solve design problems (e.g., designing an object or structure to satisfy physical constraints or minimize cost; working with typographic grid systems based on ratios).
