Description

This set of task cards works great with individuals, partners, small groups, or even centers.

You will find 16 cards requiring students to apply properties of the angles of triangles. They will use the sum of the interior angles of a triangle and the relationship between the exterior and remote interior angles of a triangle.

Differentiation:
Differentiation is so important in the classroom, but it can be time-consuming to plan for and implement. This resource was designed to make it easy for you to differentiate effectively. You can create different sets of cards to meet your students' needs. If you have struggling learners, it may be appropriate to give them just a few cards at a time with similar problems. If you have accelerated students, you may want to just select a representative sample and then provide an enrichment activity.

Included:
*Instructions and Standards Correlation Sheet
*Large Label for File Folder/Centers Organization (2 Versions)
*Recording Sheet
*16 Angle Properties Task Cards with QR Codes
*Answer Key

Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
