What educators are saying

This worked great to summarize the government of Ancient Greece and have students practice citing evidence to support a claim. I had students work in groups, with each group member looking at one of the sources, and then they worked together to fill out the sheet.
This was a great station activity, I used this as a review of learning about Greek Government. It worked great to get students to practice evaluating information about the different types of government.

Description

In this highly-engaging Ancient Greece government "myth-busters" activity, students take on the role of investigators as they try to prove or debunk 6 myths on the government styles in Ancient Greece. Students are given 6 myths about ancient Greek government, then navigate around the room (or from station-to-station) and examine a variety of sources. Students take what they have learned and either justify the myth as being true, or "bust" the myth by explaining the reality behind it!
