Ancient Egypt Unit - The Curse of Tutankhamun
Description
“The Curse of Tutankhamun” is one of ten songs I’ve written on the subject of Ancient Egypt. The whole pack is available from my store. Another song from the pack is "Hootin' Rootin' Tutankhamun" which is freely available from the store.
The zip file contains:
1. PDF of the music
2. The lyrics in a separate Word document
3. An mp3 vocal backing track
4. An mp3 piano backing track
5. PowerPoint with both the vocal and piano tracks embedded (great if you have speakers attached to your whiteboard!). See the illustration to see the icons – the one on the top left is for the vocal, the one on the right is piano only.
6. PowerPoint of the staff notation
I hope you and your pupils enjoy singing the song! If you do you may want to check out my complete “Ancient Egypt” pack. It contains songs about Tutankhamun, the pyramids, the Nile, mummies, hieroglyphics, the Sphinx, toys and games and Egyptian gods and goddesses.
I’d really appreciate your feedback!
Happy singing!
Donna
6. The Curse Of Tutankhamun!
Chorus:
What could be worse than an ancient curse?
“Death comes on wings to he who enters Pharaoh’s tomb.”
Did Lord Carnarvon simply die
Or was he cursed and met his doom?
At the opening of the tomb
there were twenty six in total present there.
But within a decade, six had died,
some a quite unusual death.
Chorus:
What could be worse than an ancient curse?
“Death comes on wings to he who enters Pharaoh’s tomb.”…
Only two who watched the sarcophagus being opened
Died within ten years.
Many of the people most involved,
Lived into old age that’s clear.
Chorus:
What could be worse than an ancient curse?
“Death comes on wings to he who enters Pharaoh’s tomb.”…
