Description

Welcome to the inquiry world of science, engineering and discovery! THIS is inquiry! This is all about having the children think creatively and critically! This is where we enable their thinking to shine through. This 6 week IB PYP transdisciplinary inquiry with the theme of How THE World Works. Using the idea of how our understanding of the concepts of innovation, force and motion, and structures can bring improvements to design and technology, we inquire into the central idea through skills-based activities that are designed to provide interactive, inquiry-based learning experiences. Making it easy for you, the experiments provided are designed to make the children think through the scientific method as part of the inquiry process, leading them to design their OWN experiments that will be tested and reflected upon, as the children demonstrate their progressive knowledge and understanding of the concepts within.

With over 200 pages of hands on activities, science experiments, posters, lessons & reflection & assessment resources, this is a complete unit of inquiry, aligned with the IB PYP and aimed for 3rd to 5th grades, UK & USA spelling included. The lessons are suggestions as to how you could use the materials and resources created. You will find a combination of printable and digital resources within this complete packet.
