What educators are saying

My students like it very much. We used it for alot of aspects and it helped to dig deeper to the the topic. Thank you.

Description

Meet Cam E. Leon and Mona R. Chwing…they are two second graders that have a special ability. They can change into ANYTHING to help them find out exactly what they want to know, when they want to know it. Call it camouflage or secret disguises…whatever they are, these two are second graders by day and something different by afternoon.

This is a fun skit that teaches about animals and ecosystems! You can use in your classroom. It can be used for a quick unique science lesson or a production for your students' parents!

It is 1 of 20 science skits in my “Cam & Mona Science Skit Series” that is designed for grades 2 and 3 but can be used for younger kiddos too!

The skit includes 7 characters: Mona, Cam, Squirrel #1, Squirrel #2, Squirrel #3, a Raccoon Husband, and a Raccoon Wife. You can easily change the characters to be more than 7 though to include more students in your class.

Skit focus: Living and Nonliving Elements in an ecosystem

This Animal Skit has 8 scenes:

Scene 1: Second Graders by Day….Animals by Afternoon!
Scene 2: Like Pieces of a Puzzle
Scene 3: Many Important Elements Make Up a Forest
Scene 4: Living Elements of the Forest
Scene 5: Important Nonliving Elements of the Forest
Scene 6: Other Nonliving Elements of the Forest
Scene 7: An Animal’s Niche
Scene 8: So Many Facts, So Little Time

It also includes a kid friendly vocabulary list that define words such as population, community, and niche.

The skit ends with a highlight section that easily summarizes all of the informational facts learned in the skit.

If you like this skit, I have PLENTY more science related skits for grades 2-5...including skits that are a continuation of this skit - with Cam and Mona!
