Description

Have you ever thought about who the inventors or innovators were for any of the products that are used every day? Let's take an exciting journey through the pages of An A to Z of Inventions and Innovations that Changed the World with American inventors and innovators and learn how their inventions and innovations forever changed the world we live in! They saw a problem, came up with an idea to solve the problem, and did not stop until the idea became a reality. Learn how the BULLDOZER was built from junkyard parts, how an artist used white tempera paint to invent LIQUID PAPER, how an inventor disobeyed the instructions of his boss and created the UPC(Universal Product Code), and why the YIELD SIGN was developed for a high-traffic area.

This book is interactive, and questions follow each invention or innovation which further engages children to think critically to solve problems. They are also asked to create designs for new inventions or innovations or draw their own improvements for the inventions or innovations in the book. Are you ready to take a journey through time and learn how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) helped solve many of yesterday's problems and how you can be creative to help solve today's problems?
