What educators are saying

Great resource that highlights a wonderful program. Used during Women's History Month to help students develop a research project based on one woman from the quarters program
Love all of the the things that Read the Rainbow puts out and this is no exception. 4th grader really enjoyed learning about these women and seeing herself reflected in many of them. Representation matters and I feel good knowing that what I am putting in front of her is just that.

Description

This resource includes a list of fifteen pioneering American Women, who are all being recognized as part of a four-year program, called "The American Quarters Program". Included is a list of trusted and kid approved websites for your student to do a research paper on each individual, answering questions such as: what makes them important enough to be on a custom quarter, and why was their quarter designed the way it was.

Each individual comes with a picture, a quote, and two custom lined papers for writing their report. Your student will be able to list the sources they used to conduct their research, such as books and websites, using the source section at the bottom of each paper.

This resource would be perfect for Women's History Month, but should not be limited to any specific month, as women's history is history 365 days a year!

Love and light,

Tanisha
