Description
AMERICAN SYMBOLS contains a set of nine poems designed to assist teaching about American Symbols to kindergarten children. They follow the Georgia Standard SSKH2, and include poems titled: Symbols, Flag, Bald Eagle, Statue of Liberty, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, White House, Pledge of Allegiance, and Star Spangled Banner.
These poems give the teacher a different way to approach a subject that is part of the kindergarten curriculum, and provide a method of engaging young children with a less formal, more fun format.
They have all been written by Nancy Bloom, a former kindergarten parapro.
