American Popular Music - The 1940's Decade (Digital Version)

Looking for resources about American popular music and/or want your students to be able to comprehend how music reflects the times? How about having them work on 21st Century Skills? Perhaps you need to add a technology component for your own observation... Students learn all about this decade in music while reading about it in the slide presentation, searching YouTube for songs/videos, answering questions on the included digital worksheets, exit slips, and graphic organizers, inserting videos of songs, creating a digital mash-up and/or have fun using the Boom digital task cards. You get the same great look of the original "paper version" of this resource but hip, hip hooray it's paperless and MUCH more colorful! It saves time since students don't have to cut, color or glue! They can use these on Chromebooks, Androids and other devices therefore it allows your students to work from anywhere (including school and/or home) to edit (add their answers), print (if desired) and share their file and answers with you to grade (go paperless!).

This digital set (use via Google, Google Classroom and/or Microsoft One Drive and/or PowerPoint) will introduce your students to the music that was popular during the 1940’s. You will receive links via Google (you will need a Google account to access) of 1 Teacher Only presentation (filled with help, ideas, "paper" versions of worksheets, exit tickets, listening glyphs, plus more), 1 slide presentation (students search on their for videos of performers & song titles mentioned), 1 slide presentation (with video links attached), digital worksheets (in Google Slides), digital exit tickets (in Google Slides), digital graphic organizers, 1 Google form "Exam" fully editable so you can easily turn it into a digital assessment or individual exit tickets, 1 digital Mash-Up project for students, and 1 presentation for help on publishing/sharing the mash-ups. You will also receive for FREE a 5 page pdf with a download link to a set of 1940's digital task cards on the Boom Learning platform as well as helpful video links all about Boom. You can use this as a large group lesson or split your students into groups to learn about different decades via workstations. You can print the listening glyphs for students to hand color or assign them to them (to print on their own and color).
