Description

An Introduction to American Indians is a comprehensive SmartBoard Notebook presentation of the second grade social studies text covering the American Indians. The presentation includes information about 3 basic groups of American Indians (Eastern Woodland, Plains, and Pueblo). Where each group lived, how they lived, how they ate, and some of their contributions are shown. Also Christopher Columbus and the Europeans influence on the American Indians is shown. Concluding information includes American Indians today. It also includes a “chart” like activity where students move the pictures into the correct spaces including names, locations, foods, etc. for the three groups of American Indians.. The activity and can be printed out as well for classwork or homework. The presentation correlates with the second grade Virginia Social Studies Standards of Learning.
