Alphabet Sound Sort A-Z

Help reinforce reading, writing, and initial letter sounds/recognition through these alphabet sound sort worksheets and cards. Worksheets can be used for extra practice, homework, assessment, and independent or group work. The alphabet letter header cards and initial sound pictures can be used for whole group, small group, and individual practice in the classroom. It can be set up so students are comparing and sorting 1 to 26 initial letter sounds.

This product features the letters A-Z. Eight picture word cards for each letter with the exception of the letter X (3 initial sound and 5 ending sounds cards). Header cards for each letter that include the capital/lowercase letter on one card and another card that has the letter crossed out. Fifty-two cut, sort, and paste worksheets. One set of worksheets has students’ comparing pictures that do and do not start with that specific letter sound and the other set has students’ comparing two specific letter sounds.
