I don’t know about you, but I have all types of letters for little learners to use. Magnetic letters, scrabble tiles, foam letters, bottle cap letters, you name it, I seem to have ALL the letter manipulatives! I wanted my little learners to have hands-on opportunities when working with letters and especially at the beginning of the year! Here is where missing letters makes a splash!!
- (10) Missing Letter Templates x 3 (different frames)
- Mixture of uppercase and letter case combinations
Here are some ideas for using these activities:
•Use letter manipulatives to fill in missing letters
•Hide letters for a scavenger hunt game
•Morning Tubs
•Small Groups
•Use Banana Grams
•Spinner with missing letters
•Use with a sand timer for to beat the clock
•Write the Room
•What letters are missing from your name?
•Use stamps; stickers; alphabet cereal; letter beads; or use dry erase markers or pencils
