Description

Engage young learners in these delightful alphabet matching games! Each printable game board presents four alphabet letters arranged in varied positions along a path. Each letter appears four times-twice in lowercase and twice in uppercase. There is a set of corresponding playing cards; students match the letters on the game board with the cards in the deck. The playing cards display the letters' uppercase and lowercase forms and a word beginning with the given letter. There is also a child-friendly image matching the word. (Players select either case of the letter on the game board.)

Each game has 16 alphabet cards, aligning with the 16 spots on the game board. Students take turns withdrawing cards from the deck and cover one of the matching letters anywhere on the board with a marker. The game's objective is to cover all the spots on the path. There are no winners or losers-everyone succeeds when all spots are covered.

This activity fosters letter recognition, spatial skills, and cooperative play. It ensures that each card drawn will have a matching spot on the board, providing a seamless and engaging experience until the game's harmonious conclusion. Ideal for classroom settings or homeschooling, "Alphabet Cover-Ups" offers a fun, inclusive way for children to practice letters and enjoy cooperative learning!

There are seven sets of printable game sheets, each with a distinctive setup. The first set has eight "Xx" and eight "Oo" letters. Correspondingly, the playing cards for this set include eight "Xx" cards and eight "Oo" cards.

Use 24 sheets of white cardstock paper and colored ink to print the game cards. (Print each game card sheet four times.) Additionally, you will require another 7 sheets of white cardstock paper to make the game boards. 31 sheets of white cardstock paper are needed to make all seven games.

Here are the seven games included:

1. Set One - Xx and Oo

2. Set Two - Tt, Ss, Hh, Mm

3. Set Three - Pp, Qq, Aa, Ff

4. Set Four - Dd, Jj, Zz, Rr

5. Set Five - Ee, Nn, Ll, Kk

6. Set Six - Bb, Ww, Yy, Gg

7. Set Seven - Vv, Ii, Uu, Cc
